CoELIB proudly joins in the global celebration of International Women’s Day. We have consistently placed women as equitable partners in development by providing them with opportunities to lead and thrive in various capacities.

CoELIB remains deeply invested in cultivating a more equitable society by equipping women with the skills, expertise, and opportunities necessary to thrive in academia, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and media.

We are driving tangible societal change by breaking gender stereotypes and amplifying female voices within a safe and supportive environment. Our dedication to enhancing women's and girls' sports, talent, and well-being is exemplified through ongoing programming on women's participation in sports on CoELIB Radio.

We celebrate key women-led initiatives that have continued to grow with our support. Such include the Saidia Dada Initiative, which provides an agency to address the socio-economic and health-related challenges faced by young mothers. This aligns with current interests in inclusivity, particularly for adolescent girls and young women.

Through strategic partnerships, we have actively promoted the creative and artistic talents of women and girls including within the framework of the Ziki Wave art movement, which united youths from diverse communities, empowering them to pursue sustainable careers in the creative industry.

Ongoing efforts in affirmative recruitment and capacity-building have yielded success among next-generation women media professionals who have benefited from our training programs.

As we commemorate International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering diversity and equality across all sectors of society. Through our continued dedication to inclusivity and empowerment, CoELIB will continue to invest in women and accelerate progress towards a more equitable world.

Happy International Women’s Day!
